401 All children of John and Margaret Strong Simonton remained in South Carolina, except Robert and William who came to Tennessee in 1829 in and bought 700 acres in Tipton County, lying just north of the Shelby County line (Robert's part is now owned by John Simonton Lucado, his great-great-grandson). Robert and William Simonton and John Thompson were the first to travel the new road from Covington to Shelby County line in 1829.

402 Alma Roberta Weil on August 18, 1920 at her home on “Little Texas” plantation near Napoleonville, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Moses Weil of Louisville,
Kentucky, and Flora Elizabeth Lang of Hansboro, Mississippi. Alma was born in
Jackson, Tennessee on July 7, 1894, and died on September 3, 1975. She is buried in Prien Memorial Park in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

— Alpha E. Boyd Johnson, 82, of Denver, Colo., passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2009, in Denver. She was born on Dec. 5, 1926, in Corsicana.
She graduated from Mildred High School in 1944. She was a member of Cameron Baptist Church in Lawton, Okla. She and her husband Harold owned and operated Johnson Appliance Company in Lawton, Okla., for over 20 years after his retirement from the military.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Ricker and the Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Rob Boyd, Hayden Boyd, Michael White, Robert Coil, Greg Coil, Jason Baker and Tim Gregory. Honorary pallbearers will be W.T. Gregory and J.D. Wright.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Johnson; parents, Jack and Clara Boyd; and brothers, Hershel and Curtis Boyd.
She is survived by her son, Richard Johnson and wife Betsy of Denver, Colo.; brother, Vernon Boyd and wife Dorothy of Mildred; sisters, Louise Coil and husband Gilmer of Canton and Ann Boyd Baker and husband Neal of Paris, Texas; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Boyd of Mildred, Carolyn Boyd Williams of Ennis, Doris Ruetten of Forney, Bettye Fudge of Crandall and Linda Robertson of Mesquite; brothers-in-law, Donald Johnson of Temple and Douglas Johnson of Midlothian; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was elected and ordained an elder in Hopewell, Chester District, S. C. 407 Alvana Kathryn McDaniel, born May 18, 1917 in Shattuck, OK went to be with the Lord September 26, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband, E.L. “Lo” McDaniel, parents, Kathryn and John Wassenmiller; brother, A.J. Wassenmiller; sisters, Ophelia Nobles and Ottilie Wassenmiller; daughter-in-law, Marylou McDaniel. She leaves her daughter, Anne McDaniel McCarver; son, Dale  McDaniel (Diane); son-in-law, Tim McCarver; five granddaughters, Kathy McCarver Root, Kelly McCarver, Katie McDaniel Hughes (Ryan), Bebe McDaniel Wilder (Keith), Meg McDaniel Ford (Brian); 10 great-grandchildren, Beau and Leigh Root; Porter, Will and Duncan Blue Hughes; Emma Kate, Anna and Daniel Wilder; Maley and Buck Ford. 

Alvana was always well-loved, even as a young lady when she was crowned Miss Shattuck in 1935. She married Lo in 1936 and moved to Rosemark where she was an active member of Richland ARP Church for over 80 years, a volunteer Pink Lady, church Circle hostess and dear friend to many. She was a devoted wife, avid cook, and beloved grandmother who was full of love, life and always had a listening ear. 

The family will receive friends Friday (Sep 29) from 1:00pm until the service at 3:00pm at Richland ARP Church in Rosemark. Interment to follow in Rosemark Cemetery. Any memorials may be made to Richland ARP Church, 8658 Rosemark Rd, Millington, TN 38053 and specify for the cemetery or church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Pastor Josh Kouri officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

Dub will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include two sons; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

James Jarrell ‘Dub’ Boyd  - age 90 - passed away Sept 3, 2014 in Amarillo. Dub was born in Eureka to Mack and Cora Boyd. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby after 67  years of marriage, his sister Onata and brother Nolan. He is survived by son Steven, of Amarillo, son Richard and wife Linda of Amarillo, granddaughters Shawna and Breonna of Amarillo, grandchildren Rylie and Camden. Brothers Robert and wife Helen of Eureka, Walker of Comstock Texas, Wallis and wife Kathy of Bradenton Florida, cousin Walter Boyd of Waco along with many family members and friends. Dub moved to Amarillo soon after 1942 graduation from Mildred High School. He owned and operated a machine and parts business there. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services were Sept. 28 at Munford Funeral Home chapel. Interment was in Salem A.R. P. Cemetery in Atoka.
Survivors include two sons, Colin McPherson of Cordova and John Evan McPherson of Atoka; a brother, Brett Pickard of Atoka; an aunt, Jena Holt of Atoka and a niece, Maegen Pickard of Atoka.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilford and Ann Pickard.

Services were Feb. 11 at Munford Funeral Home with burial in Salem ARP Cemetery in Atoka.
The widow of Wilford Lee Pickard, she is survived by a daughter, Ann Bradley Pickard of Atoka; a son, Brett W. Pickard of Atoka; a sister, Halle Jean Simonton Holt of Atoka and three grandchildren.

She was born Oct. 14, 1930, south of Sigourney to August and Velma Irene Kleinschmidt Steinhart. She married Albert Lewis "Bud" Weber on June 30, 1949, at Clear Creek. He died March 1, 1998.

She attended high school in Webster and was graduated from Sigourney High School in 1949. They lived on the farm where she was aseamstress and later worked at the Department of Human Services. She was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Sigourney. She was active in Farm Bureau and had received her 50-year pin for involvement in Keokuk County 4-H.

Surviving are a daughter, Denise Hall; a son, Doug Weber; her mother, Velma Steinhart; three grandchildren; and four brothers, Harold, Glen, Terry and Wilmer Steinhart.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her father, and a brother, Duane Steinhart.

Services were Dec. 3 in Saint Marys Catholic Church in Sigourney, with Rev. Philip Ryan officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove, Sigourney.
