  Also, on the 24th October, 1867 at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Sarah Dickson, died, Andrew McQuiston at the advanced age of 77 years..... for some thirty five years an elder of the Associate Reformed church. He was elected and ordained an elder in Hopewell, Chester District, S. C. In the fall of 1837, he removed to Tipton County, Tenn. where he continued to exercise his office in Salem and Bloomington congregations until the fall of 1865, when he broke up house keeping and came to Arkansas.
