- Alpha E. Boyd Johnson

— Alpha E. Boyd Johnson, 82, of Denver, Colo., passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2009, in Denver. She was born on Dec. 5, 1926, in Corsicana.
She graduated from Mildred High School in 1944. She was a member of Cameron Baptist Church in Lawton, Okla. She and her husband Harold owned and operated Johnson Appliance Company in Lawton, Okla., for over 20 years after his retirement from the military.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Ricker and the Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Rob Boyd, Hayden Boyd, Michael White, Robert Coil, Greg Coil, Jason Baker and Tim Gregory. Honorary pallbearers will be W.T. Gregory and J.D. Wright.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Johnson; parents, Jack and Clara Boyd; and brothers, Hershel and Curtis Boyd.
She is survived by her son, Richard Johnson and wife Betsy of Denver, Colo.; brother, Vernon Boyd and wife Dorothy of Mildred; sisters, Louise Coil and husband Gilmer of Canton and Ann Boyd Baker and husband Neal of Paris, Texas; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Boyd of Mildred, Carolyn Boyd Williams of Ennis, Doris Ruetten of Forney, Bettye Fudge of Crandall and Linda Robertson of Mesquite; brothers-in-law, Donald Johnson of Temple and Douglas Johnson of Midlothian; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to either the Eureka Cemetery Association, in care of Jerrell D. Gregory, 400 SECR 3020, Corsicana, TX, USA 75109; or to Eureka United Methodist Church, 8644 S. U.S. Highway 287, Corsicana, TX, USA 75109.
