Agnes Locklar Boyd was born on Nov. 13, 1911, in Navarro County and died on Nov. 11, 2007, in Dallas. She moved to Corsicana at an early age, graduated from Corsicana High School, and attended Mary Hardin Baylor College. Mrs. Boyd was an active member of First Baptist Church since 1924 and a member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class and the Solid Rockers Choir. She was a member of Kinsloe House Woman’s Club of Navarro County. She was married on June 26, 1937, to Fullwood Boyd, who preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1985. Mrs. Boyd was also preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Locklar of Corsicana; and brother, Bob Locklar of Waco.Survivors are her daughter, Brenda Ann Boyd, and son-in-law, George Gilliam, of Dallas; one brother, Orville Locklar of Corsicana; and a number of nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church. Officiating will be B.F. Risinger Jr. and the Rev. Jerry D. Godwin. A private burial service will !

Munford - Albert W. Talley, 85, retired Civil Service at NAS Millington and longtime assistant at Munford Funeral Home, passed away March 29, 2014. The family will receive friends at a catered reception Tuesday, April 1 from 5-8 p.m. with a service Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Munford Chapel with interment in Helen Crigger Cemetery. The widower of Ellen Faye Talley, he is survived by his daughter, Sharon L. (Boone) Scott of Atoka, TN; sons, Donald R. (Marcia) Talley of Bartlett, TN and Michael A. (Rachel) Talley of Arlington, TN; brother, Vernon (Eleanor) Talley of Munford, TN; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. Deceased Name: Olif Q. Boyd
Olif Q. Boyd, 84, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2000. His wonderful wife, Timer Boyd, had preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Andy Boyd; daughter-in-law, Robin and grandchildren, Melinna and Jamie, all of Albuquerque; sister, Mary Ellen Grantham of Corsicana, TX, USA; and brothers, Zack W. Boyd of Corsicana, TX, USA and Walter L. Boyd of Waco, TX, USA. Until his retirement in 1982, he was a partner in, and President of, Arrow Freightways, Inc. He had also been President of the Albuquerque Country Club, the West Texas-New Mexico Seniors Golf Association, New Mexico Seniors Golf Association, and the New Mexico Motor Carriers Association. He was a member of the Albuquerque Country Club for 40 years and was an ardent lover of the game of golf. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force in World War II and was a member of Ballut Abyad Shrine, Temple Lodge #6 and The Jesters. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make contributions to the Presbyterian Hospice Unit, 8300 Constitution NE, Albuquerque 87108. 397 Alexander Densmore Smith, son of William Alexander Smith and the former Miss Susan Montgomery "Sunie" Pressly, was married to Miss Lavinia McDaniel on the 21st of December 1934 in Salem, Tennessee. Known as Allie; he had two children with Lavinia.

Allie Densmore Smith was a retired water operator for Memphis Naval Air Station in Millington. He had served as an elder and deacon at Salem A.R.P. Church; where he and his family were members.

398 Alfred Malloy Dorsett was born to William Jelks Dorsett and Martha (Mattie) Carothers Woodall. He became a Presbyterian minister and served churches in Snyder, Canyon, Houston Heights, Electra, and Forney, Texas. He married Eleanor Louise Patterson Sept. 5, 1935 and they had two children. Following retirement they lived in Corsicana.

Alfred Wayne McMillin of Burlison died at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton. Mr. McMillin, 82, was the owner of Memphis Emport Company. He was an army veteran of World War II serving in the anti-aircraft division. He was a member of New Salem Methodist Church and a supporter of the World Children's Fund, Feed the Children and St. Jude.

Services were March 23 at Munford Funeral Home chapel. Burial was in Covington Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ellen McMillin of Burlison and Patricia Gail McMillin of Memphis; two sons, Michael McMillin of Burlison and Eric Scott McMillin of Cordova; a sister, Sue McMillin Ashe of Millington and four grandchildren.

Deceased Name: Nolan Boyd
Nolan Boyd, 87, died Monday, July 3, 2000, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.

He was born Jan. 19, 1913, in Eureka. He lived in Alice for 35 years before moving to Beaumont. He was a retired salesman for J. C. Penney after serving 35 years, and hge was a U.S. Army veteran of the World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl Boyd of Beaumont; one son, George Nolan Boyd of San Antonio; two daughters, Betty Boyd Storms of Aurora, Colo., and Linda Pearl Boyd Sparkman of Beaumont; four brothers, James Jarrell "Dub" Boyd of Amarillo, Robert Lee Boyd of Eureka, Austin Walker Boyd of Sisterville, W.V., and Wallis Moffat Boyd of Bradenton, Fla.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, at St. Andrews Presbyterian. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 6, at St. Andrew Presbyterian with burial to follow in the Eureka Cemetery in Eureka.

Memorial contributions may be made to Texas Lions Camp (for disabled and diabetic children) P.O. Box 290247, Kerrville, Texas 78029-0247.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
