Deceased Name: Nolan Boyd
Nolan Boyd, 87, died Monday, July 3, 2000, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
He was born Jan. 19, 1913, in Eureka. He lived in Alice for 35 years before moving to Beaumont. He was a retired salesman for J. C. Penney after serving 35 years, and hge was a U.S. Army veteran of the World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Boyd of Beaumont; one son, George Nolan Boyd of San Antonio; two daughters, Betty Boyd Storms of Aurora, Colo., and Linda Pearl Boyd Sparkman of Beaumont; four brothers, James Jarrell "Dub" Boyd of Amarillo, Robert Lee Boyd of Eureka, Austin Walker Boyd of Sisterville, W.V., and Wallis Moffat Boyd of Bradenton, Fla.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, at St. Andrews Presbyterian. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 6, at St. Andrew Presbyterian with burial to follow in the Eureka Cemetery in Eureka.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
