2357 Tombstone: “Sacred to the memory of William White, who departed this life on the 18th day of November 1833, in the 81st year of his age. A soldier of the Revolution who, when the British invaded South Carolina, volunteered in defense of his Country, and continued in its service a faithful and zealous friend of American Liberty, until peace was made; and until his peaceful death maintained honorably the character of a patriot, a husband, a father, and a Christian”

No lore is known as to the exact location of William White's death so it is presumed that William White died at or near his home which was near the Purity church and cemetery at that time. The area is now recognized to be in or near the unincorporated area of Evans.

From the White family book, a part by Dr. Garner Brown White, a dentist; and Matthew Elder "Pet" White, a farmer:

"William White, 2 (s/o John, 1) was born in , Antrim, Ireland in 1753. He accompanied his parents to America in the year 1767 at the age of fourteen. About the year 1778 he was married to Jane Brown. William White was a soldier of the American Revolution and fought in the battles of Kings Mountain, Fishing Creek, Fishdam Ford, Blackstock and perhaps others. The rifle which he carried during the war is now owned by Matthew Henry White of Chester, S. C. It was on exhibition at the Centennial at Kings Mountain in the year 1880. William and Jane Brown settled about three miles south-east of Chester and one third mile west of the Chester-Great Falls highway about two hundred yards east of a large spring. A few years later he built a home a few hundred yards west of the old spring. That home is still standing and is owned by J. G. L. White. William died Nov. 18, 1833 in the eighty-first year of his age. His wife, Jane Brown died May 23, 1841. Having been born in February 1758, she died in the eighty-fourth year of her age. Both he and she are buried in Old Purity Cemetery.

2366 Treasy moved from McNairy County, Tennessee with her family to Pope County, Arkansas about 1846 when she was about 12 years old. The family remained there until about 1851 when they moved to Tarrant County, Texas, and settled on 320 acres where Walnut Creek flowed into the Trinity River. Since Indians were still raiding that part of Texas, her father made sure his daughters could ride and shoot as well as any man. Her father had the property surveyed and paid taxes on it until it was taken away from them about 1862 by corrupt politicians who favored secession and slavery, while he did not.

Treasy first married in 1855 in Ft Worth, Tarrant, Texas to Joseph S Shelley, who was a chain carrier when her father's land was surveyed. They had two children:
-Margaret E (Shelley) Donnell 1858 – 1892
-George S Shelley 1861 – 1887

It was stated in verbal history that Joseph was killed while driving cattle to market in Missouri. After the family's land was taken away and her father failed in his appeal, the family moved to McDonald County, Missouri area.

Treasy's second marriage was to William Calvin Dobbs in 1868 in McDonald County, Missouri. He was 15 years her junior and marriage ended in divorce about 1890. They had four children:
-William Frank Dobbs 1869 – 1956
-Mary Jane (Dobbs) Briscoe 1872 – 1963
-Amos Marshall Dobbs 1874 – 1955
-Emma Della (Dobbs) Bradfield 1877 – 1904

Treasy participated in the land run when land opened up in the Lincoln County, Oklahoma Territory. She staked out a claim, as did her sons, William and Amos. She was said to be an excellent cook and smoked a pipe on occasion.

In 1916 he appeared to be the successful Democratic nominee against Congressman James J. Britt for a seat in the US House of Representatives and served all but three days of his term, March 4, 1917 to March 1, 1919. Weaver was succeeded by Britt, who had contested the election, and Britt served from March 2 to March 4. Weaver defeated Britt when they ran again in 1918 and served five terms, 1919 to 1929. 2396 USGenWeb Tombstone Transcription Project indicates that A. W. Boyd had a brother named John G, born 1876. This could not have been Abraham White Boyd’s brother, as his father was killed in the Civil Ware, 1864. Maybe that A. W. Boyd was not Abraham White. It is more Likely Abraham’s son, who died before 1900. BOYD, Abraham White (I628)
