Deceased Name: MARLIN O. DIXON
MARLIN O. DIXON, 72, of Munford, Tenn., retired civil service firefighter in the Navy, died of lung cancer Tuesday at Methodist Hospital North. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Munford (Tenn.) Funeral Home with burial in Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford. He was a member of Munford First United Methodist Church and World War II Marine Corps veteran. He was formerly active with the Boy Scouts of America, where he had been a district coordinator. Mr. Dixon, the husband of Margaret Glidewell Dixon, also leaves four sons, Randy Dixon and Don Dixon, both of Munford, John Dixon of Memphis and Dan Dixon of Baldwyn, Miss.; three sisters, Lillian Waits of Jackson, Tenn., Ellen Faye Talley of Munford and Lou Mauldin of Covington, Tenn.; a brother, Roy Dixon of Big Clifty, Ky., and eight grandchildren.
