I am not sure if L. M.'s was one of them. I have HUGE amounts of documents on this family....one is a page from an Arkansas Civil War index , pg. 41, which lists the following: Carrington, Leonidas M. Sgt/Sgt, Co. L, age: 27 Enrolled: 2 Jan 1864 Springfield, AR Birthplace: Henderson, TN also from Guide to Faulkner Co., Arkansas Loose Probate Packets 1873-1917, pg. 9 Carrington, Leonadas m. Guardianship. L. M. Carrington, father Gdn. Bond dated 17 Jan. 1877. (Interest in estate of Joseph Dickens, deceased.) Here is the story on this....Manassa Dickens Carrington died prior to the death of her father, Joseph....when he died, Manassa's interest passed to Georgia and Lea Carrington. Lea was a minor so her father, L.M. received her interest...she married John S. Mobbs when she was 15 and he then became her guardian and there are several documents showing both L.M. and John Mobbs involved with Lea's share of the money.... with L. M.'s Declaration for Invalid Pension filed 13 Dec. 1893, there is an affadavit attached naming Amanda as Amanda Wright.... the affadavit was given by Andrew Dickens so surely would be correct...this affadavit was notarized 12 July 1902....lots of pages with great info on this....FH | |
