Text	Hi Tom, The Alfred Carrington born 30 May 1798 in Orange Co NC died 10 Aug 1846 Marshall Co MS was a son of Nathaniel Carrington and Anna Davis. He married Sarah Davis 13 Sep 1820 in Orange Co NC. The Alfred Carrington born 1798 Orange NC (same year) in Jackson Co TN (married Drusilla Hopkins 1 July 1826 Orange NC was a son of George Carrington and Sophia Dunnigan. They were cousins. I descend from their cousin John E. Carrington born 1798 Orange NC (son of Ephraim)married Polly Ashley 1818. He was in Carroll Co and Henderson Co TN 1830-1840 and is in Marshall MS 1841. He died Sep 1844 in Marshall Co MS. On a side note, the James Monroe Carrington born 1825 (married Rozena Jones 24 Jan 1848 in Marshall Co MS) was a son of John J. Carrington (son of John Carrington Jr and Jemima) and Frances Elizabeth Carrington (daughter of Nathaniel Carrington and Anna Davis), so his parents were cousins. Some family trees list James Monroe as Alfred's son. I'm still working to sort out some branches. One of those is Mary Carrington who was in Madison Co TN 1840 (born 1802 NC, apparently a widow with children). She married John Bostick c1845, and he died before 1850. In the 1850 census, her household includes Wiley E. Carrington (maybe Wiley A) 27, William H. Carrington 22, Andrew J. Carrington 20, Lusius Carrington 18, and Elizabeth Carrington 16. Another one is Walker Carrinton born 1805 NC who was in Henderson Co NC 1830s-1840s, in Tippah MS 1850, and in Conway AR 1860. He was obviously a cousin from Orange Co NC. I think he was a son of Thomas Carrington 1762-? and Nancy Kennedy. Gary
