  Services for Gilmer Eugene Coil, 82, of Canton, TX, are scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday April 29, 2011 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton. Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, TX. He passed away April 26, 2011 in Tyler, TX. Mr. Coil was born March 16, 1929 in Phalba, TX, to Nolan and Birdie May Morris Coil. Mr. Coil was a Baptist by faith. He loved people, his dogs, fishing, yard work and gardening. Gilmer worked for Hilliard's Funeral Home and Hardware for a number of years and retired from the City of Canton after 18 years of service. Gilmer was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 62 years, Louise Coil, Sisters, Grace Polk, Wanda Tucker and brothers, A.J. Coil & Wayman Coil. Surviving are: 2 Sons: Greg & Becky Coil of Canton, TX. Robert & Peggy Coil of Round Top, TX. Daughter: Peggy & Michael Wyatt of Ben Wheeler, TX. 9 Grandchildren 12 Great-Grandchildren Sister: Merl Young of Winnsboro, TX.
