  Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) - March 2, 2000 Deceased Name: COVINGTON - Mary Virginia McGowan COVINGTON - Mary Virginia McGowan, 90, retired teacher for Covington Elementary School, died of heart failure Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Covington Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with burial in Munford Cemetery. Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home has charge. She was a Sunday school teacher, member of Women of the Church and organist at Covington ARP Church. Mrs. McGowan was the widow of Leslie McGowan. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Covington ARP Church.
