Richard O. Quinley, 73, of Munford, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Methodist Hospital Germantown. He was retired from Dupont, working for 30 years as a chemical operator. Additionally, Mr. Quinley served in the Tennessee National Guard for 30 years, was a volunteer firefighter in Munford (1998 Fireman of the Year), worked at Whitehorn Farms and Dixon Farms after retirement and was a lifelong member of Munford First United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at Munford Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Poplar Grove Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Jo Glidewell Quinley; sons Michael (Patricia) Quinley of Munford and Darryl (Terri) Quinley of Drummonds; daughter Lynn Quinley (Will) Phillips of Drummonds; brother Dan (Myra) Quinley of Germantown; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Munford United Methodist Church.
