  Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN, USA) - January 16, 2002 Deceased Name: MUNFORD - Eleanor Snider Witherington MUNFORD - Eleanor Snider Witherington, 80, registered nurse and homemaker, died Tuesday at Methodist Healthcare-North. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Munford Presbyterian Church, where she taught a Young People's Sunday School Class, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery in Mason. Munford Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of PTO at Rosemark Academy, a board member of the House of Hope Rehabilitation Center for Alcoholics, a former Girl Scout leader and delivered meals on wheels. Mrs. Witherington, the wife of Dr. A. S. Witherington Jr., leaves two daughters, Rosemary Witherington Nelms of Memphis and Annie Laurie Witherington Butler of Munford; a son, Albert Sidney Witherington III of Germantown; a brother, Dr. Howard Snider of DeQuincy, La., and two grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to House of Hope or Munford Presbyterian Church.
