- Eula Mae Boyd, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in San Leon, on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, after a short battle with cancer.
She was born March 4, 1922, in Boswell, Okla. Eula Mae grew up in the oilfields of Mildred. She lived all but the last six years in Corsicana, where she owned and operated Taylor Studio as a professional photographer. Eula Mae loved to dance and was always the life of the party. She will be missed but never forgotten.
Eula Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Zack Boyd; and by her brother, William B. “Red” Decker.
Survivors include her daughter, Robbie and son-in-law Philip Tharp III; niece, Nita Minchen; she is also survived by her nephew, Johnny B. Decker.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2011, at Resthaven Memorial Park, with the Rev. Mike Alexander officiating. Interment followed at Resthaven Memorial Park.
