- HAMILTON BEITH WARD, JR., 80, of Clermont died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009. He was born in Memphis, the son of the late Hamilton (Dutch) and Louise Carrington Ward. He moved to Clermont in 1966 from Arkansas and was a retired Accountant. Hamilton taught the Ever Faithful sunday school class at the First United Methodist Church. He was a Captain in the U. S. Army and served in Korea receiving a Bronze Star with the 1st Calvary Division. He is predeceased by his wife Margaret Ann (Maggie)and survived by three sons, Stephen, Clermont, Keith, Orlando, Scott, Minneola; daughters, Beth Lutz, Lawrence, KS, Ann Rossini, Clermont, Layne Ward, Gainesville; brother, Vance T. Ward, Hanover, PA; sister Carolyn Mason, Dallas, TX; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. His service will be at First United Methodist Church, Aug. 15, 2009. Interment will be Aug. 17, 2009 at Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell. Arrangements are provided by Brewer & Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Services.
