Robert W. Boyd of 400 52nd Ave, North Myrtle Beach, SC; died at the age of 83. He was the son of the late Backstrom Blain Boyd and Sarah Ina (Hobbs) Boyd. He Enlisted November 2, 1942 U.S Army Air Corp, a Veteran of World War II. 2 years 11 months and 9 days Honorable discharge Oct 10, 1945, at the rank of Sergeant as a Airplane and Engine Mechanic, from the 140th AAF Base Unit out of Winston-Salem, NC; no overseas duty. Bob is survived by his wife Patricia Anne “Pat” (Forester) Boyd. Bob's first wife, Nellie Pitt (Dodson) Boyd, passed away in 1956. He was preceded in death by all his brothers and sisters, Thomas B Boyd, Gaston H. Boyd, Cleone C. Boyd, Elizabeth F. Boyd and Margaret M. Stephens. [2]
