  Radio operator W4OVG in 2005 had 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren [3] Robert B. "Bob" Boyd Date of Death - Nov. 10, 2005 Robert B. "Bob" Boyd of Athens died at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Boyd, 89, was a native of Covington and former resident of Chattanooga and the Washington, D. C. area. He served on the Federal Power Commission and was formerly with the TVA. He was a member of Sweetwater First Presbyterian Church. Graveside services were Nov. 12 at Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. Gary Kodman officiating. Bordwine Funeral Home in Etowah was in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include a son, Robert C. "Buzz" Boyd of Fayetteville, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Will of Mechanicsville, Va., and Doris Boyd of Memphis; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Bobbie Smith Boyd and his parents, William R. and Sally Pace Boyd. [3]
