  Lived in Trezevant manor Episcopal Home, Memphis, TN, USA in 1997 Sarah Doris Boyd April 19, 1912 - Jan. 16, 2006 Sarah Doris Boyd, a resident of Trezeant Manor in Memphis, died on Jan. 16. Mrs. Boyd, 93, was born in Covington and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will R. Boyd. She attended Covington public schools and graduated from the University of Tennessee and received a master's degree from Peabody College. For four decades she taught in the Tipton County School System. In 1973, she became the librarian at the Tipton County Public Library until her retirement in 1994. Mrs. Boyd was an active member of the Covington Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, were she served as a deacon before moving to Memphis. Services were Jan. 19 at Covington A. R. P. Church Survivors include a sister, Mary Will Boyd Mays of Mechanicsville, Va., a nephew; and two nieces. [2]
