684 Catherine Elizabeth Dunlap on January 25, 1855. "Lizzie" was born December 15, 1841 in Macon, Georgia. She was the daughter of Lemuel A. Dunlap of South Carolina and Lurence McGee Dunlap of Georgia. Catherine Elizabeth died March 7, 1930 in Monroe, Louisiana. She is buried in the American Cemetery at Natchitoches, Louisiana. She was a tiny little lady, and her granddaughters took great delight in swinging her round and round in spite of her threats to "switch them good". She had dark hair and "snapping brown eyes". She carried her "spending money" in a small pocket sewed onto her petticoat. The ganddaughters were always embarrassed when she liked her overskirt to get money to pay for items at the store. Edna Ford Falk (Ben Ford's daughter, thus another granddaughter) said, "Grandma always reminded me of a little brown wren. She never seemed to walk, and was always flitting somewhere." This in spite of having fallen and broken her hip at one time. After Wash died, she moved in with her son, "Buck", and his family, but divided her time between her other children. She died while visiting her son, Hardy, in Monroe. DUNLAP, Catherine Elizabeth “Lizzie” (I433)
