  Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN, USA) - October 17, 2002 Deceased Name: ARDELLE OSTEEN SIMONTON ARDELLE OSTEEN SIMONTON, 83, of Brighton, retired secretary for Tennessee Area Vocational School, The Commercial Appeal and the Covington Leader for 34 years, died Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home in Covington with burial in Morrison Cemetery in Brighton. She was a 57-year member of Brighton Baptist Church. Mrs. Simonton, the widow of Carl Mauldin Simonton, leaves a daughter, Camille Simonton Burlison of Burlison; a son, Gregory Carl Simonton of Brighton; five sisters, Dorothy Vernon of Johnson City, Tenn., Ruby Fee of Atoka, Wilma Poindexter of Rosemark, Tenn., Almeda Rose of Greenville, Texas, and Evelyn Thomasine Jameson of Memphis, and three grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Brighton Baptist Church.
