Tilmon Cormier

Obituary
Mr. Tilmon Cormier, age 89, of Peabody, died Thursday in a local nursing home after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria (Tudal) Cormier.
Born in Scouduc, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late Edmond and Edmay Cormier. Tilmon came to the U.S. when he was five months old and was raised in Lynn. He was a graduate of the Lynn Trade School. He was a resident of West Peabody for over 49 years.
He enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Prior to his retirement, he was the Dairy Manager in the local supermarket industry.
He leaves three grandchildren: Caroline, Connor and Christina Cormier. He was the father-in-law of Rosalind Cormier of Norwalk, CT. He was the brother to Lorraine Henrickson of Swampscott, Phyllis Johnson of Swampscott and Dalena Deveaux of Salem. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Paul A. Cormier and brother of the late Val Cormier.
His Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Saturday at 11:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide's Church, Peabody at 1:00PM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Jean's Cemetery. Visitation prior to Mass beginning at 11:30AM.
