- Heart Attack Claims Phillip Sandlin, Jr. Thursday At Cayce
Services were held Saturday Afternoon at 2 o'clock at Brantley-Hutton Funeral Home for Phillip Teele Sandlin, Jr., 35 year old resident of the Cayce community. Mr. Sandlin died suddenly Thursday night at his home after suffering a heart attack. He had not been ill and his death was both sudden and untimely.
Mr. Sandlin had been deer hunting Thursday. He was a weight inspector with the motor vehicle division of the Mississippi Highway Patrol. A member of the New Salem Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Byhalia Masonic Lodge.
The Rev. Charles Shipman officiated at the service. Burial was in the Cayce Cemetery.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Sarah Sandlin and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Teele sandlin, Sr. of Cayce.
Pallbearers were Mr. Sandlin's co-workers with the Highway Patrol and motor vehicle division.
