  Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN, USA) - December 14, 1994 Deceased Name: LOUISE S. BROOKS LOUISE S. BROOKS, 79, of Memphis, retired milliner for Lowenstein's department store and Helen of Memphis after 20 years, died Tuesday of a cerebral hemorrhage at Methodist Hospital Germantown. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and a Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Brooks, the wife of Leslie V. Brooks for 58 years, also leaves a daughter, Beverly Louise High of Memphis; a son, Leslie V. Brooks Jr. of Dixon, Mont.; a sister, Dorotha Sandlin Rose of Germantown; a brother, Walker P. Sandlin Jr. of Oklahoma City, and two grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Luke's United Methodist Church, the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
