  Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) - November 1, 2001 Deceased Name: MILDRED SIMONTON GALE MASSEY MILDRED SIMONTON GALE MASSEY, 89, of Hernando, retired librarian for First Regional Library in Hernando, died of heart failure Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hernando First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with burial in Bakers Chapel Cemetery there. Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando has charge. Mrs. Massey, the widow of John W. Gale and Joseph A. Massey, leaves three stepdaughters, Frances Thompson of Memphis, Nelle N. Johnson of Greenwood, Miss., and Dot M. Parker of Hernando; a stepson, M. E. Massey of Memphis, eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Hernando First Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
