  Departed this life on the 6th of March, 1888 in Tipton County, Tenn., Mr. David H. McQuiston. Aged 67 years, 9 months and 6 days was born in Fairfield County, S. C. on the 30th of May, 1820 and enjoyed religious advantages in connection with Hopewell congregation in Chester County in company with his father (Mr. Andrew McQuiston) he removed in 1838 to Tipton County, Tenn.... became identified with Bloomington congregation at the time of its organization, and for many years [a deacon]. Three times married; first to Miss Margaret Wright in 1843, second to Mrs. Nancy J. Wham in 1853, and third to Miss Mary A. McQuiston in 1870. Two children of the first marriage and five of the second still survive. [4]
