  Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN, USA) - November 9, 1993 Deceased Name: VANCE M. CARRINGTON JR. VANCE M. CARRINGTON JR., 71, of Collierville, a retired employee of the Chemical Division of Occidental Petroleum Co., died Monday at St. Francis Hospital. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Collierville United Methodist Church, where he was a 50-year member, with burial in Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville. Collierville Funeral Home has charge. He was a World War II Army veteran, past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5066, and a graduate of Texas A&M University. Mr. Carrington, the husband of Anne C. Carrington, also leaves three daughters, Camille C. Jones of Memphis, Verner C. Tull of Collierville, and Anne C. Schaeffer of Wilmington, N.C.; a son, Vance M. Carrington III of Cayce, Miss.; two sisters, Louise Ward a nd Elizabeth Kelsey, both of Collierville; two brothers, Richard Carrington of Collierville, and David Carrington of Dallas, and eight grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
