Deceased Name: ROSEMARK - Harry A . Thompson
ROSEMARK - Harry A. Thompson, 80, retired farmer, died of heart failure Sunday at Methodist Healthcare-North in Memphis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rosemark First Presbyterian Church, where he was a 40-year deacon and elder, with burial in Rosemark Cemetery. Munford Funeral Home has charge. He was a World War II Army veteran, who received a Purple Heart and Silver and Bronze Stars, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7175 and the founder and a board of trustees member of Tipton-Rosemark Academy High School. Mr. Thompson, the husband of Mariellen Gillespie Thompson, also leaves a daughter, Mary Nell Billings of Memphis; a sister, Alice Lee Lietch of Rosemark, and three grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Salvation Army or the Make A Wish Foundation.
