Deceased Name: EDWARD ALLISON 'BUCK' THOMPSON JR.
EDWARD ALLISON 'BUCK' THOMPSON JR., 90, of Memphis, planter and merchant, died of heart failure Saturday at his home. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Rosemark (Tenn.) Presbyterian Church, where he was a member for 50 years, with private burial in Rosemark (Tenn.) Cemetery. Canale Funeral Directors has charge. He graduated from Vanderbilt University and was also an elder at Rosemark Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Memphis Hunt & Polo Club, Summit Club and Sons of the American Revolution. He was a Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association volunteer and was a World War II veteran. Mr. Thompson, the husband of Blanche Crump Thompson, also leaves a sister, Alice Thompson Lietch, and a brother, Harry Thompson, both of Rosemark. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Rosemark Presbyterian Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
